

Producer Govind Nihalani spotted Sadashiv during a Marathi play titled ‘Hands Up’ in 1981, and soon, he offered him the role of Rama Shetty (the negative lead) in his movie ‘Ardh Satya.’ The movie turned out to be a hit, and Sadashiv received critical acclaim for his performance in the film At the age of 21, he started doing theatre and did more than 50 plays (acting and directing) and minor roles in Marathi films till 1979.He was an excellent batsman and a leg spinner, but when he participated in a one-act play competition in his college, he found his calling, and it turned his direction from cricket to acting and directing plays.
